Robinson oversees human resources for Diebold Financial Self-Service Solutions. The 6,000 employees in this group are scattered across Canada, the United States, Shang Hai, and Mumbai. With responsibilities spanning so many time zones, Robinson's day can stretch from 6:00 a.m., well into the evening.

And yet Robinson, the mother of a teenage son, is able to carefully balance work and family life. How does she do it?

"Technology," she explains. "And a flexible work environment at Diebold that allows me to get my job done from anywhere."

At times her home, her car, or even her son's soccer field can become her office. It's a challenge she meets by offering Diebold the same flexible approach to work that Diebold offers her.

"At Diebold, I'm free to manage my schedule as long as I meet objectives and meet my responsibilities," says Robinson. "Working remotely when I need to allows me to be where I need to be — with my son, for example. It's nice to be measured by productivity rather than by location."
